hello there, I am

Informatics Engineering Student.

Maria

about me

I am a 21-year-old Informatics Engineering student based in Barcelona, passionate about coding and continuous learning. I love diving into various programming languages like Python, Java, Javascript or C++ and I am always eager to stay updated on the latest trends in software development.

I'm a hackathon enthusiast and an organizer at HackUPC, currently Director. I thrive in fast-paced environments where creativity meets collaboration. Participating in hackathons around the world has sharpened my technical skills and enriched my problem-solving abilities.

This year I had the opportunity to join the JetBrains team as a Campus Ambassador, where I help bring developer tools and learning resources to Barcelona's universities. I collaborate on workshops, student programs and community events that empower peers to build faster, ship cleaner, and learn by doing. Working with JetBrains has deepened my interest in developer experience and given me new ways to mentor students.

In my free time, you can find me getting lost in a good book, travelling, or relaxing at the beach. Whether I'm coding, organizing events, or exploring new places, I am always looking to grow and connect with others in the tech community.

Flappy Biene

Flappy Biene

"Flappy Biene" is a Python game I developed to improve my programming skills, inspired by the popular Flappy Bird game. The player navigates a bee through obstacles in a challenging, retro-style environment. It’s a fun way to practice coding and game design!
